egg nog

cup full fat milk

tsp vanilla extract

tbsp brown sugar

tbsp maple syrup

tsp salt

tsp cinnamon

oz cream cheese

tbsp butter

tsp sugar
Instructions
1 Slice the bread into 1-2 inch cubes and place into a buttered 9x11 baking dish. 2 In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, maple syrup, salt and cinnamon. 3 Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cubed bread, cover and let the casserole sit for 30 minutes. I usually just leave mine out on the counter, but you can pop it into the refrigerator if you want. This casserole does not need to sit overnight, but it can be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator. 4 Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees 5 Top the casserole with the cubed butter, cubed cream cheese and then sprinkle with as much or as little cinnamon sugar as you want. 6 Bake the casserole uncovered for 50-60 minutes. You will be watching for a browned crust and a firm center. Cooking times may vary, so start checking your casserole around 40 minutes or so. 7 Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. 8 Top with maple syrup!View original recipe
